ICS Holds 27.5 %, Gingerbread 50.8% And Jelly Bean Hits With 6.7% Adoption

Google updates its Platform Versions Web page for Android bringing out the latest number of active devices running on a given version of the Android platform. Interesting to note that Android 4.x finally makes a stand and has crossed the 30 percent mark although there are still over half of the users are still on Android 2.3 i.e. on Gingerbread.

Counting on exact numbers, a total of 6.7 percent of users are now on Jelly Bean while 27.5 percent users are on Android 4.0 version. Android 3.x holds a total of 1.6 percent market share, while Android 2.3 makes a fall to 50.8 percent. Android 2.1 and Android 2.2 both make a drop down to 10.3 percent and 2.7 percent.
