HTC Confirms Ice Cream Sandwich Updates For Sixteen Of Its Devices

Finally we can believe that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich updates are rolling out with other carriers too – HTC through its blog post has revealed sixteen of its smartphone which are due to get the ICS update soon, including the Droid Incredible 2, Amaze 4G and Desire S and Desire HD. The full list of devices is below alongside with details of other devices that will follow them to Android 4.0:

  • HTC Amaze 4G
  • HTC Desire S
  • HTC Desire HD
  • HTC EVO 3D
  • HTC EVO Design 4G
  • HTC Incredible S
  • HTC Sensation
  • HTC Sensation XL
  • HTC Sensation 4G
  • HTC Sensation XE
  • HTC Raider
  • HTC Rezound
  • HTC Rhyme
  • HTC Thunderbolt
  • HTC Vivid

HTC says that Sensation and Sensation XE can expect to get an update “in the next few weeks”, while the Sensation 4G and Sensation XL are slated as next. HTC also explains over its take to publish the update in each country saying that, “Please note, once we start pushing out updates it will take time for all carriers in each country to get the update. We are working closely with our carrier partners to nail down update schedules for our other smartphones and will have more to share very soon.”
