HP’s webOS seen a drastic changes in the past: first with layoff of some 275 employees, followed by webOS CTO Sam Greenblatt and David Gee left the company, but now what an interesting piece of news coming from The Verge is that HP’s webOS team responsible for Enyo is heading to Google – yes they are, according to the publication. There is no clear information that states what the team will do at Google. The Verge received an official statement from HP, which references the roadmap (with September release) announced back in January:
We’re pleased with the traction Enyo has gained to date and plan to continue its development along with the open source community. The Open webOS project is on schedule and we remain committed to the roadmap announced in January.
