Army

Are you thinking about starting a career in the army? If you are we offer congratulations because it can be an excellent career path. Firstly, it’s important to understand that the army is a huge business filled with a number of different roles that could be perfect for you. As well as this, there are a number of benefits from climbing the ranks through the army. Even after you retire from the armed forces you will have the skills required for some of the best jobs in the armed forces. Also, after a number of years in the army you’ll be able to access a great pension to fall back on when you finish work completely. But first, you have to think about how to prepare for joining the army.

Choose The Job You Want

As we have already mentioned, it’s important to know that there are a number of jobs that do not involve armed combat. The job you choose will depend on the type of skills you have obtained through education. For instance, if you have a degree in technology you might work as a technical analysis. Or, you may have experience in psychology. Someone with this type of knowledge could be perfectly suited for a job working with former soldiers and helping them recover. Depending on what type of job you choose you will need to make sure you have the right kit.

Get The Kit

Despite there being a number of different roles in the army, you would be surprised how many people wear the same or a similar kit. This is because some of the requirements for a job are the same no matter what position you are working in. For instance, you might be working as a tech analyst. But, you may still find yourself out in the field in harsh terrain and working in difficult circumstances. That’s why it’s recommended you consider purchasing a pair of Bates boots. These boots are designed for tactile work and will keep your feet safe and comfortable out on the job.

Get In Shape

There is a fallacy that anyone can join the army, no matter what their health. If you’re overweight, don’t worry because army training will whip you into shape. In fact, this isn’t true at all. To even apply to join the army you need to match certain fitness requirements. It’s not an exaggeration to say that the army wants the best of the best. If you are thinking about applying, you will need to get in shape. You will need to be able to run at least two miles without stopping and complete fifty sit-ups in under two minutes. Don’t forget when you are training to be realistic. If you are jogging, you should carry some form of weight on your back. You should also be wearing the type of boots that you would be in the field.

Lastly, you need to be ready for the type of isolation joining the army involved. It’s true you will see your team as a new family that you can count on. But that does not make being away from those you love for long periods of time any less difficult.
