How Secure is your Cloud Main

Cloud computing is new hit in the information technology. Not only that is easy to use, but it will also make your life a lot easier. If you have never used a cloud you are probably wondering what exactly is that, right? Even though cloud is easy to use, it’s not as easy to explain. Cloud computing basically means storing, accessing and sharing data and programs over the Internet instead of your computer’s hard drive. Cloud computing is a lot different from traditional computing. When you are using traditional computing you are tied down to your computer and your hard drive, while when you use cloud computing you just need to put your data in a cloud. When you put your data in a cloud you can access them wherever and whenever you want, you don’t even need to use your computer. You can access your cloud from your tablet, laptop or even your phone. There are many benefits of cloud computing, but can we be sure it is secure?

In this infographic you will find results of a survey of 200 IT managers that are working in a firm with cloud security. Some of the answers will surprise you. For example, 52 percent of the IT managers that were surveyed believe there is a threat. The fact that surprises the most is that the older age group were more convinced and therefore more aware of the threats than the younger age groups. Difference is not small, with 87 % in age group over 55 and 34 % in the age group of 18 to 24 year olds. Unbelievable! The threats include hackers, data loss, data breach, viruses, attacks from other companies’ computers and many more. To make your cloud and your business protected you should be aware of these threats and security options you can do.
