Groupon Announces Leadership Change, Andrew Mason Not The CEO Anymore

Although it’s not more than 24 hours for Groupon declared its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2012 results ended December 31, 2012 with the consolidated revenue of $638.8 million, up 30% year-over-year with the operating loss on board was $12.9 million, the company announced a change in leadership.

The company appointed its Executive Chairman Eric Lefkofsky and Vice Chairman Ted Leonsis the newly created Office of the Chief Executive, effective immediately, replacing Andrew Mason although both Lefkofsky and Leonsis will serve in this role on an interim basis while the board commenced a search for a new Chief Executive. The company also added that its guidance for first quarter and full year 2013 outlined in yesterday’s earnings announcement remains unchanged.
