Google With Duke Energy Working On To Expand Options For Companies To Buy Renewable Energy

Google announced over the weekend that joining hands with Duke Energy, the largest US energy utility provider, it will soon be seen in promoting a plan which will increase the renewable energy sources development. This means, with the plan, the companies, majorly the bigger ones, who would like to go green, could pay more to use green power, like of solar and wind.

The company added further that as part of its first effort to put the idea into pace, it is expanding its Lenoir, N.C. data center and its local electricity provider, Duke Energy, has pledged to develop a new program for large companies who want to buy renewable power for their operations. The company also has a firmed believe that the approach is not without its challenges, things need to be worked out and even in many cases state utility commissions will need to approve the programs.
