“We are having discussions with other carriers about this,” Vincent Paquet, Group Product Manager for Google Voice, told CNET in an interview. He declined to name specific carriers. So far Google Voice is exclusively for Sprint users however the search giant now confirmed that it is in talks with other carriers – specifying name of not any carrier but this is first such time when Google is gearing up for integration of its Google Voice service with other carriers. The feature was introduced a year ago in the US and lets customers either use their current Sprint number for Google Voice or replace their carrier-provided number with one from Google.
