Google Play App Revenue Rose 90% In Q1, 2013 While Apple App Store Saw 2.6x More Sales

According to the latest figures from the App Annie Index report – via The Next Web – its being revealed that the Google Play app revenue grew 90% in the first quarter of 2013, while Apple’s App Store still saw 2.6 times more sales.

Counting on report fact-o-figures, games topped the chart in lieu of generating revenue, while US, China, Russia, Japan and South Korea are among biggest players contributing among many countries. Photos and Video apps become the third largest in iOS downloads while Education apps increased in iOS revenue and become the fourth largest on global scale.

On maximum downloads, the top five Android downloads countries were the US, South Korea, India, Russia, and Japan while in terms of revenue, Japan stands at top position, followed by South Korea, the US, the UK, and Germany.
