Just before the final days away from Google’s I/O event, the company’s Roman Nurik has unveiled that the company’s Google I/O 2012 conference app is live now, offering session listings, scheduling and lot more to offer on the chart. To note here this is a live streaming component that goes live once the event starts at the end of the month.
Here’s what he had to say about it:
It’s here! The official Google I/O 2012 Android app is now available on Google Play. Download it by following the link below.
The 2012 edition of the app once again supports Android 2.2+ devices of all shapes and sizes. With the app you can browse through sessions and code labs, manage your schedule (from the app or from your Android 3.0+ device’s home screen!), orient yourself with a map, and more. We’ve also added the ability to watch I/O Live streams on your Android 3.0+ devices (available during the conference).
And for the developers out there: yes, we’ll be open sourcing the app shortly after the conference!
Well, Google’s Vic Gundotra had confirmed back in March that Google I/O sold out in just 20 minutes from the time it started selling out. Gundotra said that the servers were being hit with 6,250 queries every second at 7:01, a minute after the tickets went on sale.
