Google Adds ‘Reset Profile Settings’ Feature To Chromium, Let Users Clean Up After Malware

Google has added a new “Reset profile settings” feature to Chromium which will allows users to fix issues and clean up after malware. The new section, the company added in chrome:// settings allowing to reset features of a profile after malware has modified it or if users just ended up with messing up with settings. If you want to have a look, you just have to download last chromium build at download-chromium.appspot.com and run it with the new chrome://flags/#enable-reset-profile-settings flag.

As of now features are:

  • Default Search Engine
  • Homepage
  • Content Settings
  • Cookie and site data
  • Extensions, new tab page and themes
