Google announced that it has added over twenty popular U.S. museums in its collection of over 10,000 indoor maps that it launched back in November. The museum list includes the de Young Museum in San Francisco, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Cincinnati Museum Center, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History and 17 Smithsonian museums plus a zoo. In order to access the floor plans, all you have to do is simple open Google Maps on Android phone or tablet and zoom in on the museum of interest. To search for the museum, either search for it by name using the magnifying glass icon of by “My location” feature to orient yourself. Further, the “My location” feature will let you even get indoor walking directions.
