FTC Asks Google, Twitter About Facebook’s $1 Billion Instagram Acquisition

We reported earlier this week that The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) launching a “competitor probe” into Facebook’s $1 billion acquisition of Instagram. The probe will take anywhere between six to twelve months period, means the social giant won’t close the deal unless it gets a green signal from FTC. Reuters reports that the commission has already started discussing the acquisition with Google as well Twitter although it was not immediately clear what specific information the FTC was looking for, according to publication “source”.
