With rumors earlier high that YouTube believe to be working on to build its own paid subscription service, with business VP later on confirming over that fact that paid subscription models are “incredible important” for its content creators. To add some real salted flavor to this story further, the Financial Times today reported that Google is set to introduce new paid subscriptions for video channels on YouTube.
The Times’ further stated that the company being gearing up to offer the service from $1.99 a month and will be launching the first set of up to 50 YouTube channels as early as this week. On confirming over the news, Google today the publication that as of now it has “nothing to announce” although it did confirm the fact that it was “looking into creating a subscription platform that could bring even more great content to YouTube.”
