With Windows 8 date is just few months from now, things are rounding up in a better shape for a new version of Firefox designed for Microsoft’s Metro UI. Developer Brian Bondy feels that the team is certainly making progress. In the latest version, web navigation, tabs, bookmarks, the history, cache, and preference adjustments are all functional, however Bondy says that there is still “a ton of platform integration to do” to fully embrace Microsoft’s design guidelines. The interface has been moved and styled to fit in with the tablet interface, with other functions. Bondy reveals that an installer is being passed around for user experience testing, and also says that he hopes an ARM version will be built for tablets.
