Back in March, it was reported that ZTE had sold out $130.6 million Surveillance System to Iran, but what now not sounding to great for the company is that Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating over the deal, according to a document obtained by The Smoking Gun (The Verge). ZTE attorney-turned-whistleblower, Ashley Kyle Yablon has informed the FBI of the planned coverup. Reuters said back in March that the system would be “far more capable of monitoring citizens.” The equipment sold by ZTE included products from different companies which include Microsoft, Dell, HP, Oracle, and other US companies. ZTE spokesperson told Reuters earlier that “we are going to curtail our business in Iran,” so with such enhancement what more to believe that what’s really cooking inside.
