The social giant Facebook has announced that profile page Timeline of every user will soon see a “Follow” buttons instead of “Subscribe” buttons i.e. the company is removing the “Subscribe” buttons and bringing on the “Follow” buttons, reports The Verge.

The move clearly indicates that the social giant now taking a stronger edge to pool out against Twitter which uses “Follow me” button. The new Follow button will work the same way as the old Subscribe button.

The company said, in a statement: Starting today we are updating the term “Subscribe” to become “Follow” across the site as we found it is a term that resonates better with people on the service. Nothing is changing about how the feature works.
