Facebook Introducing Facebook Exchange, Lets Companies Bid For Advertising In Real-Time

Bloomberg reports that the social giant is planning to introduce real-time bidding for advertising on its site, just like as on the likes on technology used by Google and other web companies in order to target ads to consumers more effectively. The service, dubbed as Facebook Exchange, will allow advertisers to reach specific types of users on the social network based on their browsing history.

The service will debut within weeks and prices will be based on the cost per thousand viewers and spots will be sold via third-party technology partners. Facebook which is having over 901 million users worldwide, brought in $3.15 billion from advertising last year and has also introduces mobile ads and other services in order to increase sales.
