Facebook, GM In Discussions Over Advertisement Tie-up

Back in May, just days before Facebook turn public, General Motors, which spend $10 million of its 2011 ad spending, ditched out the social giant advertisements. The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported yesterday that General Motors and Facebook are in talks in order to grab the motor company back as one of its advertiser. Now, after almost two months past the happening, Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg spoke with GM Chief Executive Daniel Akerson on the issue, and senior executives from both companies have been in discussions. It is expected that the company will both join hands, but nothing will be official until the discussion turns into successful one. We will keep an eye over on this, and will update accordingly.
