Facebook has announced an update to the SDK for iOS, bringing version 3.2 with adding deeper app usage metrics, better ad optimization and enhanced error handling. The social giant also revamped the iOS Dev Center letting you quickly accessing the tools and resources one requires to build great social apps.

The company has enabled additional metrics such as iOS 6 native share sheets and built-in native UI controls usage which can be logged through SDK as well as support being added which will show on how these metrics on App Insights will help understanding that how people are interacting with your app.

Facebook is also currently working on a solution for native iOS apps. Conversion measurement helps businesses measure and optimizes the return on investment of their Facebook Ads by reporting on the actions people take after viewing those ads.

The social giant also enabled SDK support and documentation for all classes of error responses, which will significantly improve one’s SDK integration experience. The SDK will now automatically categorize errors by common application handling behavior and provide helpers to simplify some common error response cases.
