Nurses have many choices of working environment; they can work anywhere. From schools and doctors surgeries to private hospitals and other medical facilities.
Each environment is different and offers a different type of nursing experience. For example, a school nurse will deal with anything from cuts and scrapes to sickness bugs. While a hospital nurse can deal with anything, from broken bones to palliative care.

Working as a nurse comes with the luxury of flexible working hours. However, this does depend on what type of environment you choose to work in, for example, a hospital nurse can work any time of day or night. Whereas, a nurse working in a school or doctor’s surgery would probably be required to work between nine in the morning and five in the evening.

If travelling the world interests you, a career in nursing is the perfect choice. Nurses are needed in every country, so there are many travel opportunities for nurses.
Many less developed countries, such as African and Asian countries require skilled nurses. As do many other countries. If you want to travel, a career in nursing is the perfect choice.

A career in nursing allows you to connect with many different people on a daily basis, including co-workers, patients and their family members.
Spending time with people from different backgrounds will allow you to become more understanding and empathetic.
