Yesterday, both MasterCard and Deutsche Telekom announced a European partnership which enables customers to use their mobile phone as a convenient and secure way to pay. Adding, further glitter to this, Businessweek is reporting that Deutsche Telekom is in talks with Google along with credit-card companies and banks to add partners to its mobile-payment system. “We’re talking to other players in the market, and even cooperation with Google is theoretically possible,” Thomas Kiessling, the German company’s head of innovation, said in an interview. “We’re in talks there as well,” he said, declining to specify potential areas of cooperation. If things like this really come into existence, it will results in bringing a lot more changes for all.
