Dell Brings Up XPS 14 And XPS 15 Laptops

Dell is expanding its flagship XPS laptop series with bringing two updated models: the XPS 14 and XPS 15. Starting with XPS 14, offering mid-range performance, maintains a slim 0.81-inch profile, a starting weight of 4.6 pounds, a 1600 x 900 display, Waves MaxxAudio 4 audio processing, a 3-in-1 card reader, and USB 3.0, mini DisplayPort, and HDMI ports. The baseline model comes with 4GB of RAM, 500GB 5400rpm hard drive, and a secondary 32GB mSATA solid state drive, while the top line model comes standard with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.

The XPS 15 features 15.6-inch display supports full HD resolution (1920×1080) and a brightness of 350 nits. The XPS 15 also supports up to 16GB dual-channel DDR3 1600 MHz memory. It also includes a slot load Blu-ray disc drive and supports larger standard 3.5-inch hard drive options up to 1TB. The XPS 15 still gets up to eight hours of battery life. The XPS 14 starts at $1,099 and the XPS 15 starts at $1,299.
