Dell Bid $2.15 Billion To Acquire Rival Quest Software

Reuters reports that Dell is in zest of acquiring the rival Quest Software for $2.15 billion, and all in cash. Dell named as “strategic bidder” for the acquisition although the company is the unidentified company mentioned in a statement made by Quest, disclosed on Thursday, offering $25.50 per share – a 7 percent premium to Quest’s Wednesday close of $23.86. Quest build software to monitor the flow of data through networks has been working with Dell since 2004.
