As reported last month, the time has comes, according to Finnish publication YLE, the troubled Nokia confirmed on Friday that it is going to shut down its Salo plant in September 2012. The plant has released its last phone on Wednesday and the measure is certainly a part of wider restructuring effort the company announced this June, in which it plans to cut 3,700 jobs in Finland and 10,000 jobs worldwide. Nokia which sees downgrade in its rating by Moody to Ba3 from Ba1 and the recent scrapping up of its new mid-range Meltemi phone OS, expecting more losses in coming days.
