With yesterday only rumor high that Nokia reportedly planning to invest in a California-based array camera startup Pelician Imaging, today the company confirmed that it has closed a $20 million round of Series C funding with new investments poured from Nokia Growth Partners, Qualcomm Ventures and existing investors.

The funding included Pelician Imaging’s current investors line-up which added $10 million fuel in a Series B round back in 2010, followed by a $7 million round in 2009 from the partners while the companies did not disclose the amount of their actual Series C investments. Nokia and Qualcomm are reportedly Pelician’s first strategy industry partners since the time it launched back in 2008.
