Sina Weibo

According to a TechWeb report, China’s microblogging platform Sina Weibo has reached more than 50 million daily active users, an up 8.3 percent from the numbers noted back in March. Interestingly, its biggest rival, Twitter which China blocked earlier – hit 50 million daily active users back in 2011 itself.

Sina Weibo back in May only reported its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2013 with the net revenue increased 19% year over year to $126 million while non-GAAP net revenues increased 19% year over year to $121.3 million.

And, with now such great big numbers added light to its par will certainly bringing the platform to next level of challenges.
