Chinese search giant Baidu has released its Baidu PC Faster 2.0 software in order to increase its foothold in Thailand. This new software will offer both security and optimization tools. The software starts first with a beta version which released back in June and reached over 1 million downloads in just the timespan of four months, then followed by Version 2.0 of the software, which has added features like tool for scanning USB devices for malware, virus protection etc with an add-on best feature, a Thai language interface.
“Baidu wants to do its part to contribute to the healthy development of the online environment in Thailand, and we believe that offering a simple, safe, powerful and free solution to protect Internet users and enhance their online experience is one of the most important contributions we can make,” said Kaiser Kuo, the company’s director of international communications.
