Bing Details Windows Phone Experience Updates

Good news for Bing lovers – the software giant Microsoft’s Bing Team announced two upgrades among of which one will be available from today itself and one will be out by March – overall Bing can’t be known as ‘app’ on Windows Phone as it is integrated into the larger platform itself – the two of the upgrades are Bing Vision and Bing Image Matching for Newspapers.

Out today, Bing Vision – along with the current detection of product information from QR codes and Microsoft tags by the users, Bing Vision now scan barcodes, CD, DVD and book covers – also Bing Vision can now provide local availability and cost comparison on goods so people can quickly purchase items of interest while on the move.

Second in the line-up which will be out by March is Bing Image Matching for Newspapers, enabling people to quickly find the digital version of a print magazine or newspaper article, it further allows users to take a photo of an article using their Windows Phone camera and link directly to a digital version of the article online – offering worldwide access, consumers will have access to content from over 3,000 publications worldwide.
