How Bikes Took Over Dublin

The Dublin bike story is something every city should emulate; at least that is our opinion. And why not, in this world where global warming and climate change has become a palpable force to reckon with, we need more communities, cities and countries on the whole taking a stance where we encourage pro-environmental behaviour, and adopting the bike way is perhaps one that will show most immediate results. Dublin has been encouraging their denizens to go the bike way since early 2009 making it a 7 year long program. Since its inception there have been 8 million journeys that have been taken on their bikes. This has been a joint venture between JCDecaux and the city council of Dublin. It’s high time we take Dublin example and start our very own bike clubs in our cities.
