Baidu To Invest $1.6 Billion To Set Up Cloud Computing Center

With Chinese language Internet Service Provider, Baidu late July announced its second quarter unaudited financial results with $859 million in revenues and EPS of $1.26 per share, Reuters revealed company’s further investment plan and the latest to add, according to Baidu’s chief financial officer Jennifer Li that Baidu will invest over 10 billion yuan ($1.6 billion) to setup cloud computing centre.

Earlier also, Baidu joined hand with Sina and collaborate in partnership over mobile content, with keeping focus on search, content, platform resources, such as all-round cooperation. And, with this today’s plans of investment, this Chinese ISP giant will make a new mark with bringing in a lot more in its cloud-based ‘Box Computing’ strategy.
