According to Central News Agency (CNA) Friday, Asus is planning to build three more data centers worldwide by early 2013 in order to meet increasing demand for cloud services from users. The company currently having three data centers in Taipei, Taiwan, Shanghai, China, and Los Angeles, U.S.A., providing cloud services to 10 million users worldwide, said Any Huang, Asus Cloud director. The places Asus is considering for its new centers are Tianjin, Harbin and Chongqing in China; Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Ireland in Europe; and Boston in the U.S, he added although he had not provided the exact details, as the whole project is still in the negotiation stage.
