iPhone 5 is expected to be the next big thing in the apple family. Public does seem to have something of a fascination of cell phones in general, none of these phones seems to capture the excitement of the consumers more than the iPhone. The iPhone 4S helped in scaling up the iPhone sales to 77% in Q4 says the report.  The dip in iPhone sales was owing to the fact that the people were expecting the iPhone 5 to show up. This then, makes the iPhone 5 the next big product to come from Apple since the iPhone 4S.

Expected iPhone 5 Features

The source mentioned some of the potential features that the iPhone 5 may have. It’s looking like the iPhone 5 will have a screen that is 4 inches or bigger. The screen will reportedly be made by LG and could be made of the same material as LG’s HDTVs are. The phone is like to be equipped with 4+ inch display (made by LG on at least one of them), No teardrop-shaped devices, as rumoured in the lead up to the iPhone 4S. Samples so far have been symmetrical in thickness (also longer/wider), neither of the sample devices have the iPhone 4/4S form factor, Neither of the devices are the final versions.

The two samples that have been passed around between iPhone 5 engineers do not have the same shape and form factor as the iPhone 4 and 4S. However, this could change as neither version is the final one. The iPhone 5 is a next generation phone which will include great features, but not likely to have a brand new design. There have been rumors that the iPhone 5 will feature 4G LTE technology with a New 13MP Camera From Sony, With HDR Video capabilities and and CMOS Sensor. If this is true, then Apple may actually change the design of the iPhone 5 to house the different modem that is needed.

This will enable high-speed transfer of voice and video data around the globe. the iPhone 5 might come with HzO coating which would make the device waterproof. This would mean that water damage to a water-proof phone like the iPhone 5 would be covered by insurance. NFC Support in the next generation iPhone which can also be used as Your New Wallet – could be used as a payment device by NFC.iphone5 is also expected to have Wireless Charging, so you can charge and use it at the same time. It can also be without a home button, made in different colors, to feature its own iMaps, 3D Camera and a Slide Out Keyboard This will be one revolutionary feature fans are waiting for.

Expected Release Date

We know that iPhone 4S geared up for production in the spring of 2011 and was released on October 14, 2011. Assuming the iPhone 5 goes into production in early February or March 2012, the iPhone 5 release date could be as soon as June, but more likely during July or August.  It’s likely that Apple fans will not have to wait another year before the next generation of the iPhone.
