Apple’s iPhone 5 Got A Green Signal In China Ahead Of Rumored December Launch

Good news for Apple lovers in China, and more for those who are eagerly waiting for the new iPhone to launch in the country, the iPhone 5 as the company finally gain regulatory license in China ahead of rumored December launch, reports Global Times. Even, China’s telecom operator China Telecom started taking preorders for the smartphone starting from Sunday, saying it will contact customers as soon as it have the new iPhone in its shelves.

“We have no information yet as to the arrival (of China Unicom’s version of the iPhone 5),” Wen Baoqiu, spokesman for China Unicom, told the Global Times Sunday. While “Both China Unicom and China Telecom have been benefiting from selling the iPhone products, as it has boosted their 3G services, and the iPhone serves to generate more user data traffic compared to other smartphones,” Li Yanyan, an analyst at market research firm Analysys International, told the Global Times Sunday.
