Adding more weight to rumors that Apple’s next version of iPad – the iPad 3 is about to make its debut on March 7th next month – an add-on that we are hearing right now is that it will support 4G LTE networks, the WSJ has again highlighted more on this stating that the company is testing an 8-inch model that according to sources is none other than the Apple’s upcoming tablet model.
According to the publication, the company is working with component suppliers in Asia to test a new tablet computer with a smaller screen – a screen size of around 8-inches, which is reportedly smaller than its previous version iPad 2 which was launched last year – even the newer version do hold the similar resolutions as that of the iPad 2 having.
The move comes as Apple is preparing to announce a new iPad 3 in early march, a smaller tablet will help the company is both way – to broaden Apple’s portfolio and also to help it compete with its rivals – Samsung and Amazon. A version will run on fourth-generation wireless networks from Verizon Wireless and AT&T Inc.
