According to FOSS Patents, the ongoing Apple Vs Samsung verdict saw a turnaround today with Judge Lucy Koh strike an order by cutting $450 million from a $1.05 billion damages Samsung owes Apple which was determined by a Jury in August back in 2012. The $450 million amount counts towards the 14 Samsung products in respect to which new damages trials must be held.

The second damages trial over the fourteen products includes Galaxy Prevail, Gem, Indulge, Infuse 4G, Galaxy SII AT&T, Captivate, Continuum, Droid Charge, Epic 4G, Exhibit 4G, Galaxy Tab, Nexus S 4G, Replenish, and Transform although what majorly to note that there will have to be a new Jury.

So the count as per today’s order in favor of Apple goes like this: Apple entitled to get the sum of $598.9 million although the Cupertino-based could try to collect the amount but still physically the company can’t collect the money before the final resolution of this dispute.
