A breakthrough has come into the picture after coming in limelight as of now for quite a longer time that Apple has to pay $6.5 million in unpaid taxes on 2011 iPad sales in France, reports Rude Baguette (via TechMeme).
SACEM, the French association which controls royalties paid out to authors announced this week that the Cupertino-giant has failed to pay 5 million euros (about $6.5 million) in royalties’ taxes over 2011 iPads sale.
To give bit of understanding, the ‘cpoie privée’ is a type of tax in several countries, including France and Germany which is applied to all digital services which can transfer, read or otherwise make use of copyrighted material.
