Apple Reportedly In ‘Preliminary Talks’ With Foursquare To Boost Its Maps Service

The Cupertino-based giant is in talks with Foursquare in order to boost its maps service with getting the data from social network website, reports the Wall Street Journal. The “preliminary talks” which are currently taken place in “recent weeks” and has involved Apple senior VP Eddy Cue, who recently worked as Apple’s maps division during recent executive reshuffle in the company.

On the other side, Foursquare which develops a popular mobile app helping people find local places and telling their friends when they are at venues which includes bars and restaurants. Words on hear are like this that Apple has been working on its own local search listing incorporating into products.
