Apple as part of its new iPad announcement, the company released an update to its iLife software suite namely iWork, GarageBand and iMovies. There is no change in pricing for new downloads, all of them are still available for downloads at $9.99 each, while those who are already having an existing copy can get a free upgrade.
The main changes to iWork are visual, in order go along the new iPad’s Retina Display. GarageBand has support for the Retina Display and do cater some of the new features as well including Smart Strings for playing instruments, iCloud support, a note editor and Jam Session, allowing a max four iOS devices to work together over WiFi or Bluetooth to create music in real time.
The iMovie, video editing app now lets you create movie trailers; one can also do outlining and storyboarding, then record in 1080 pixel, and play the video back all on the same device. Apple says these new updates are coming out today, but the old versions are still on the app store as of the moment.
