Apple Releases Economic And Fiscal Impacts Report For New HQ

Apple today released an economic impact report for its new headquarter, predicting that it will be having 23,400 employees by 2016. The new campus which has been known by ‘Campus 2’ or the ‘Spaceship’ is set to be completed in 2016. The report includes details of Apple’s economic impact on the new campus.

The company’s new headquarter features a 4-storey 2.8 million square feet circular building which does have the power to accommodate up to 12,000 employees while the additional facilities planned for the first phase of construction includes a fitness center, parking structures, auditorium and R&D facilities.

The company also share that how the report has contributed towards taxes in Cupertino and support for local businesses. Over the employment base, the company says it has been growing 18% annually over the past 5 years and predicts a 10% growth every year until 2016 to have total of 23,400 employees with it.
