Apple, Google And 11 Other Companies Settle With NTP Over Email Patent Infringement Claims

NTP Inc., the company which was founded by wireless email inventor Tom Campana has announced that it has reached a mutual resolution with 13 companies. The thirteen companies includes both wireless carriers and email service and software providers companies, the list includes AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile, Apple, HTC, Motorola Mobility, Palm, LG Electronics, Samsung, Google, Microsoft and Yahoo. NTP holds eight distinct U.S. patents relating to the delivery of electronic mail over wireless systems. The signed agreement provides broad coverage under NTP’s patent portfolio to all of the companies. The contents of the agreement have not been disclosed.
