Having a good track record of winning big-big legal battles from time to time, but not this time for Apple as the Cupertino-based giant has to pay a hefty fine over East Texas jury’s decision of $368.2 million in damages to patent holding company VirnetX, Bloomberg revealed on Twitter. Other publication 9to5Mac reports that VirnetX originally said to be looking for at least $900 million from Apple, but the fine amount it got was much lower than what it expects in real. The patent infringed by Apple includes collection of network patents that the giant has incorporated into its products now like FaceTime.
