Apple Files Claim To ‘iPhone5.com’ With World Intellectual Property Organization

With Foxconn planning to hire some 18,000 employees to work on Apple’s latest iPhone 5, the Cupertino-based Apple has filed a claim with the World Intellectual Property Organization to take control of the iPhone5.com domain. Fusible spotted the domain claim under case number D2012-0951 while the decision on the case still has to be taken. The domain iPhone5.com currently serves on the impending Apple smartphone.

Soon after the news broke, an interesting thing happened, two new discussion threads on iPhone5.com started that discusses Apple going after the domain name. The first one called as HELP US FIGHT while the second one includes a poll that ask whether Apple should be able to take control of iPhone5.com
