Yesterday we reported that number of newly updated iOS and Mac apps updates to experience crash. The issue was highlighted by the creator of Instapaper, Marco Arment. Just hours after making the issue aware to company, Apple acknowledged to developers that the issue was resolved and things are back to normal now. The problem affected a large chunk of apps that have released their new versions in the last 24 hours, and which includes, Threadnote, Please Stay Calm, SMARTReporter, Goodreader, Readdle Scanner Pro etc.

Here is what Apple spokesperson said:

The issue originated from a server that generated code for Apple’s FairPlay DRM system, and while it did affect “a small number” of users, it has since been rectified and the company doesn’t expect it to occur again.
