Although Android hit high in China with accounting for total share of 83% in the country, a new data from Google’s developer site shows that devices running on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean and Google’s latest Android instalment) increase by 50 percent over the last month, while Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) rose by close to 25 percent to reach 20.9 percent overall. Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), which supports a number of low end tablets and smartphones saw a drop of market share from 60.6 percent in August and accounts for 57.5 percent at the beginning of September. The other Android’s version remains almost unchanged.
