Amazon Reportedly Working On Video-Streaming Set-Top Box

Amazon is reportedly now taking a step further and working towards video-streaming set-top box which will allow people to stream internet videos straight from their living rooms, reports Bloomberg Businessweek.

The publication citing “three people familiar with the project” reported that the box will plug into TVs and let users to access Amazon’s expanding video offerings, which in turn includes its Video on Demand store, featuring newer films and TV shows.

The company developing the set-top box at its Amazon’s Lab126 division in Cupertino, Calif. while the project being taken care by Malachy Moynihan, a former vice president of emerging video products at Cisco. If cutting the things short, Amazon is working on a new toy which will let it compete with Roku, Apple TV and others in the fall.
