Amazon Purchases Samsung’s Liquavista For An Undisclosed Amount

Amazon confirmed that it has purchased Samsung’s screen tech company name Liquavista, reports The Digital Reader (via Seeking Alpha). There are no words on pricing or any other deal terms out yet, but as per past rumors its being indicated that Samsung willing to see Liquavista for under $100 million. There is no doubt over the sale as the Korean giant current focus are on smartphones and tablets and Liquavista’s electrowetting screen tech results in quite different in offering at the presence moment.

Amazon has also confirmed the news of purchase:

We are always looking for new technologies we may be able to incorporate into our products over the long term. The Liquavista team shares our passion for invention and is creating exciting new technologies with a lot of potential. It’s still early days, but we’re excited about the possibilities and we look forward to working with Liquavista to develop these displays.
