With the latest State of the Internet report from Akamai, a third of all cyberattacks in the third quarter of 2012 came from China while mobile data traffic doubled between the third quarters of 2011 and 2012, growing 16 percent since Q2 2012. Starting with the cyberattacks in the country has saw a huge rose to 33 percent in the period ended in September while the US came at second spot with 13 percent, up sequentially from 12 percent.

The firm also reported that the browser marketshare over cellular networks, Android Webkit accounted for total of 37.6 percent of requests while Mobile Safari accounted for total of 35.7 percent. The global average connection speed now accounted to 2.8Mbps from the second to third quarter while the global average peak connection speed down 1.4 percent to 15.9Mbps in the third quarter.
