Acer Announces Iconia W3 And Aspire S7 Ultrabook Windows 8 Devices

Acer today at Computex 2013 has announced whole new Windows 8 devices, including a whole new version of the 13.3-inch Aspire S7 and the Iconia W3, an 8.1-inch tablet. The Iconia W3 is an Intel-powered device weighing just 1.1 pounds and features an Intel dual-core 1.8GHz Atom Z2760 processor, available in 32GB or 64GB variants, 1280 X 800 display, two-megapixel camera on the back,  and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, USB slots and space for a micro-SD card is priced upwards of $379. The Iconia W3 will go on retail starting from tomorrow. Interestingly, counting on its selling point, the tablet comes with both the home and student version of Microsoft’s Office installed.

Aspire-S7-Ultrabook

The second in the line-up announced today is the Aspire S7 Ultrabook. The new Aspire S7 Ultrabook runs on a fourth-generation Intel chip and features a 1 TB hard disk. The S7 contains 8GB of RAM while the battery comes at 6,280mAh. Other features include 1920 x 1080 capacitive touchscreen, two USB 3.0 ports, a 128GB SSD, and integrated graphics, all for the same $1,399. An optional high-res 2560 x 1440 panel will cost extra.  The S7 shipping will begin in July and is priced upwards €1,450 in Europe.
